Toyota South Africa Motors (Pty) Ltd (or its authorised dealers within South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland), warrant all original or Genuine Parts (except tyres and batteries) and Accessories, manufactured or assembled by Toyota or its associated companies (hereafter together called parts) and delivered to the original retail purchaser by an authorised Toyota dealer, to be free of defective material and/or workmanship in normal use and service for a period of one year/unlimited kilometres (please note that normal wear parts are excluded from the warranty.)
The obligation under this warranty is limited at the election of Toyota or the distributor to the repair or replacement of parts which, in its opinion, are defective as a consequence of material or workmanship. The repair or replacement of defective parts under this warranty will be done by any authorised Toyota dealer without charge for parts and labour.
- All Genuine Toyota Parts sold and fitted by an authorised Toyota dealership, carry a one year/unlimited km warranty.
- All Genuine Accessories sold and fitted by an authorised Toyota dealership, carry a one year/100,000km warranty, whichever comes first.
The basis for a claim will be the original retail job card or invoice. This warranty will be subject to normal maintenance by a Toyota dealer where applicable. Where the Genuine Toyota Part is bought over the counter from any Toyota dealer the obligation under this warranty will be limited to the replacement or repair of the defective part free of charge for a period of one year/unlimited kilometres. Consequential damage is not covered by this warranty.
The terms and conditions of this warranty are not applicable to:
- Any parts that have been subject to negligence, misuse, ignorance, accident or alteration or any form of competition.
- Repairs or services carried out by somebody other than an authorised Toyota dealer.
- Normal maintenance services and the replacement of service items when use is made of parts other than Genuine Toyota Parts or approved Toyota Accessories.
This warranty replaces all warranties, expressed or implied, obligations or liabilities of Toyota and its authorised distributors or dealers.
PLEASE NOTE: The warranty period on replacement parts is not extended due to repair or replacement of the same replacement parts during the original parts warranty period.
